Come and Learn...
St. Joseph's welcomes children and adults of all ages to Sunday School each Sunday at 8:45am. There is a nursery class for infants through 3 years of age. There are grade level classes through Senior High. We welcome our young adults-post high school folks, and then we have an adult class, whose members discuss various subjects throughout the year.
We use Witness lesson material for the students through sixth grade, in which the children learn about the Creation, people of the Old Testament and then the life of Christ and the early church as told in the New Testament of the Bible. Each Sunday we begin with a brief devotion time together in the Sanctuary, then go to our individual classes.
The children learn about community outreach. We help support the third and fourth grade class at the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission School in Rock Point, Arizona. We send the children Christmas gifts and the children make greeting cards for Christmas and Easter for the students. We also support Readers Win! in which children are invited to make donations to the Literacy Council of Reading - Berks.
