Marcia Kurtz
Marcia Kurtz is a lifelong member of this congregation. She began her music ministry in third grade when a junior choir was first formed. This choir included young singers from 3rd through 12th grade. At Kutztown State College, she sang with the college choir and also sang with a choir at one of the local churches. Upon graduation, she began teaching in the Boyertown School District and returned to St. Joseph’s to sing with the Senior Choir.
In the early 1980s Marcia began directing the Junior Choir which consisted of children in 3rd to 6th grade. Later she became the director of the Senior Choir and was asked to reorganize the Bethlehem Choir. With the assistance of many wonderful people, these choirs continue to serve as music ministers for the congregation at St. Joseph’s.
