This year brought challenges to our normal Souper Bowl campaign, but the youth group rose to the occasion and hosted a Souper Bowl event that raised our best donation ever. With the donation of a Thrivent Action Team card of $250 and the gracious donations of $740 from members of the congregation, we were able to raise $990 which was used to buy high-need items for three local pantries in our community. Items were donated to the pantries at Boyertown Multi Service, Boyertown's Salvation Army, and Frieden's Lutheran Church in Oley. Individual youth and their families completed the shopping and delivered the goods to the pantries. We thank the Youth Group families for doing the shopping and making the deliveries. Our support of the pantries was greatly appreciated.
