Pastor Kim Truebenbach graduated from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2000. She was ordained in January of 2001 and served two congregations before taking time out of ministry to be a stay-at-home mom to her and Craig’s two children. Kim grew up in a small town in Oregon. Woodburn was at one time the berry capital of the world and during the 70s and 80s transitioned from a farming community to a bedroom community. Craig grew up in an even smaller resort town in Minnesota. Craig’s company is headquartered in Minnesota. The company manufactures and maintains scientific instruments. Craig’s job is to repair and maintain this equipment which takes him all over the US.
Kim and Craig’s children attend Boyertown Area School District. Their oldest child Sierra attends both BCTC and BASH. She will be a Junior. Their youngest child, Scott, will be starting grade 4 at New Hanover Upper Fredrick Elementary. The family lives in New Hanover township along with their 3 dogs and two cats. Before Covid 19, the family enjoyed traveling to see family in MN, friends in Oregon, a family week in the Poconos with Kim’s extended family, Family Camp at Bear Creek Lutheran Camp, and when possible a week at the shore.
Kim is a fan of movies—Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, classic 80s movies, the Lord of the Rings, and the James Bond franchise. Kim also enjoys kayaking, gardening, and listening to books on audible.
